Before the advent of modern technology, many of the most popular games were simple board and card games. Even today, games of this nature still remain somewhat popular. A board game can be described as any of many games of strategy or chance played on a specially designed board; and often involves two or more opponents moving pieces and using dice or cards. A card game, meanwhile, is a game played mainly with playing cards, although other objects may be used in addition. Playing cards have been created and used for many hundreds of years and many thousands of games exist to use them.

The following is an index of articles currently existing within Gamescodex that discuss various board and card games, or topics closely related to them. To add an article to this category, include the text [[Category:Board and Card Games]] somewhere within the article (preferably near the end) - case is important.
