If you've seen a genuine article being vandalised, don't edit the change out unless it's minor or you have new information to add. Instead, edit a previous, non-vandalised version from the history or roll the article back to that edit - this way, information doesn't have to be constantly republished.
For cases of major vandalism or new articles being created with spam content, please post on User_talk:TeamCodex with the offending article so it can be brought to a Moderator's attention, if you cannot deal with it yourself.

The Title Screen for Minecraft. The look of this screen may be altered when texture packs are used.

Minecraft is an indie sandbox game created by Markus "Notch" Persson and his company, Mojang AB. In Minecraft, which is focused on creativity and building, you can build anything that can be built from different-colored cubes in a computer-generated world. There are two variants of Minecraft: the free Classic mode, which is entirely building and has unlimited resources, and the €14.95 Beta version, which lets players run around in a world full of collectable resources and dangers.

The only version of Minecraft being currently updated is the Beta version, which was first released in December 2010. Minecraft was developed for about a week before its public release on May 17, 2009, on the TIGSource forums, where it gained a considerable level of popularity. Since then, it has been in constant development, and while still in alpha, managed to gain several hundred thousand sales. Less than a month after the initial beta release, on January 12, 2011, Mojang had sold over a million copies.

Official releases for iOS and Android are currently in development, and are expected for release later in 2011.
